Social networking giant Facebook roll out new feature ,legacy contacts, it will allow users to appoint a family member as their online testaments to manage their Facebook account.
Facebook has already memorializing accounts feature regarding user’s death, but new legacy contacts feature give more option to user to handle theirs profiles when they are passed away. According to Facebook, online testaments (your FB account heir) will able to comments and update the profile photo of deceased person on Facebook. Testaments will also able to respond to requests from the deceased person’s relatives or friends. Users can choose their friends or family members to handle Facebook account after death. Also in case If users want to close the deceased person’s Facebook account then they can inform to Facebook to close the account.
Initially this service is available to US Facebook users only but Facebook has plan to expand to worldwide soon.

How to set up legacy contacts:

1.Open your settings. Choose Security and then Legacy Contact at the bottom of the page.Legacy Contact_SettingsLegacy Contact_Choose2.After choosing your legacy contact, you’ll have the option to send a message to that person.

Legacy Contact_Message 3.You may give your legacy contact permission to download an archive of the posts, photos and profile info you’ve shared on Facebook.

Legacy Contact_DataFacebook also redesigned memorialized profiles to pay tribute to the deceased by adding “Remembering” above their name and making it possible for their legacy contact to pin a post to the top of their Timeline.
