Apple announced the launch of their smartwatch, called Apple Watch, on March 9. As expected, the price was a bit higher than other smartwatches with similar specifications and better functionality. Priced at $350 for the base model, the Apple Watch is pricier than the competition like Moto 360 and Pebble. That wasn’t really surprising, as Apple is known for charging higher than what other manufacturers do.

But what really shocked the whole tech world and left too many jaws on the floor was the price of the Apple Watch Edition. This variant comes with gold watch case and the base model is priced at ten-f**king-thousand-f**king-dollars and it goes right up to seventeen thousand dollars. YES! Seventeen-thousand-hard-earned-dollars! Now close your mouth!

Unsurprisingly, social media went crazy over the launch and started poking fun at the company for its ridiculous price. Now, trolls and jokes from random users are common on social media. Creative people come up with different ways of taunting and teasing popular companies for such launches. But taunts and jibes from other companies are rare, though not unseen.

Asus recently published an image on their official twitter handle, telling consumers interested in Apple Watch Edition that they are ‘out of their minds’. The taunt was pretty straightforward, they didn’t use any code words nor did they call any names. The picture comes with a kind of flow chart which begins with a straight question – Should I buy the Golden Apple. And then it concludes that if you are really interested in buying ‘Golden Apple’, you are really out of your mind. There is no real comparison of specs or price or anything related to the watch itself. It just questions your sanity, indirectly meaning that there is no relevance in comparing their own ZenWatch. Your are insane, straight and simple!

And we can’t disagree with that either!
